The City of Overland, Missouri, is soliciting sealed proposals for street and crosswalk striping services. Proposals are due by 9:00 a. m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage provisions and ensure all onsite employees complete a ten-hour OSHA construction safety program. The contract will be awarded based on the bid that best meets the city's interests and requirements.

If the contract sum exceeds fifty thousand dollars, five percent of the amount of each monthly request for payment shall be withheld until after completion by the contractor and acceptance by the city of all work.
The contractor warrants to the city that all materials and equipment furnished under the contract and incorporated in the work will be new unless otherwise specified, and that all work will be of good quality, free from faults and defects and in conformance with the contract documents.
The city intends to award a contract based on the bid that, in the city's sole discretion, best meets the interests and requirements of the city.
No contract will be awarded by the city to any person, firm or corporation who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract for construction with the city.
The contractor shall forfeit as a penalty to the city one hundred dollars **** for each workman employed for each calendar day, or portion thereof, such workman is paid less than the said stipulated rates for any work done under the contract.
By submitting a bid, each bidder represents that the bidder has inspected the project site and is thoroughly familiar with the bid documents and all requirements for performance of the work.
Any person who has obtained a copy of the bid documents may submit to the city a written request for an interpretation thereof no later than seven 7 consecutive calendar days before the date set for receipt of bids.
A contractor shall not be awarded a contract if they appear on the missouri secretary of states list of violators of the prevailing wage law.
