U. S. Embassy Wellington is seeking quotes for exterior facade restoration services at the chancery. The work involves timber facade restoration. Offerors must be technically qualified and financially responsible, understand English, have an established business in New Zealand or plan to establish one, be registered in SAM, demonstrate prior construction experience, possess necessary personnel and resources, hold required licenses and insurance, be able to obtain performance security, and have no adverse criminal or political affiliations. Quotations are due by July 21st, 2026, 5 PM, and must be submitted electronically in MS Word, Excel, or PDF format, not exceeding 30MB per email. Incomplete quotations will not be accepted. The government intends to award a contract to the responsible company submitting an acceptable offer at the lowest price, based on initial proposals without discussions.
Quotations are due on Tuesday, July 21st, 2026, 5 PM. No quotations will be accepted after this time. The entire work must be completed not later than 30 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Requests for payment may be made no more frequently than monthly, covering labor and materials completed and in place. The 14-day payment period is changed to 30 days.
The contractor warrants that the items delivered are merchantable and fit for the particular purpose described in the contract. Special warranties may be required, subject to FAR ****, Warranty of Construction.

If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, they shall pay liquidated damages to the government for each calendar day of delay.
A preconstruction conference will be held 10 days after contract award at 29 Fitzherbert Terrace, Thorndon, Wellington.
The contractor shall submit a schedule that includes the time by which shop drawings, product data, samples, and other submittals required by the contract will be submitted for approval.
If the contractor makes prompt objection within 20 days to supplemental documents issued by the contracting officer, their issuance shall not provide for any claim for an increase in the contract price or an extension of contract time.
Failure to be registered in the SAM system for award management database prior to proposal submission may deem the offeror's proposal to be considered non-responsible. Failure to provide required information for security checks may be grounds for rejection and/or resubmittal.
