For construction contracts exceeding $150,000, the county will withhold retainage in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract amount from progress payments. Retainage will be released in accordance with the terms of the executed contract.

The contractor shall provide manufacturer warranty documentation for installed equipment and a minimum one-year workmanship warranty.

Communications between a proposer and any member of the selection committee during the selection process, except when expressly authorized, is prohibited and is grounds for disqualification.

Respondents will be deemed nonresponsible and rejected if they do not meet minimum qualifications. If reference interviews are not to the satisfaction of the city, the city reserves the right to disqualify any respondent. The city reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, the bidder fails to satisfy the city that the bidder is properly qualified.

The proposal is valid for 30 days due to price increases. McDonough Mechanical Services Inc. will hold title to any materials provided by them until all balances and money owed have been paid. Not included are any permits, fees, or premium time allowances.
