The restrooms will have updated finishes and the mens side will include the demolition and reconstruction of new showers and drying areas and adding an ADA accessible shower. The project includes repurposing space for a new lactation room and relocating the IT function from a mechanical room to a dedicated IT room. New blast- rated storefront and windows are provided on the ground floor. New clerestory windows are provided in the drill hall. All doors throughout the building are to be replaced with new doors, frames, and new door hardware. Interior finishes include new ceilings, wall paint, and flooring. New resinous flooring, carpet, and polished concrete will be included. Installation of OCIE storage lockers is included in the project. MEP scope of this project includes major renovations of the building systems. Replacing plumbing DWV and water line piping as well as replacing plumbing fixtures. All HVAC systems and related infrastructure are to be replaced. Lighting will be replaced with new LED, electrical distribution systems modified to accommodate new layouts and equipment, and the life safety systems will be replaced.

The Springfield Housing Authority (SHA) is soliciting bids for the replacement of 20 PTAC units at the Bonansinga Hirise. The bid deadline is September 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the SHA support services office. The anticipated approval by the SHA board of commissioners is September 22, 2025. Bidders must submit one original copy of their hard copy bid to the SHA Truman Road office. The bid must comply with all requirements and specifications outlined in the IFB document, including required forms (e. g. , proposal, form of bid, HUD ****, noncollusive affidavit, HUD ****, statement of bidder qualifications, affidavit for Davis-Bacon wage exclusion, contract compliance attachment, SHA Section 3 clause, Section 3 workforce form D, workforce projection form, hold harmless agreement, special contract requirements, HUD **** equal employment opportunity certification form). A bid bond is required for projects over $50,000. Performance and payment bonds or 20 cash escrow or 25 irrevocable letter of credit are required for contracts exceeding $50,000. Davis-Bacon and/or state prevailing wage requirements apply. The contractor is responsible for all permits, fees, and expenses. OSHA rules and regulations must be observed. The project is estimated to take 90 days from the notice to proceed. The SHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, or terminate the process at any time.
