This is a Request for Bid (RFB) from Portage County, Wisconsin, for two compactors: a Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) compactor and a recycling compactor. The contract term is from the date of award through 06/30/2027 or upon job delivery and installation of the compactor. Vendors can assume installation of the compactor in locations yet to be constructed in late 2026 to 2027.
The MSW and recycling compactors equipment packages shall be provided with a 3-year warranty on ram and frame weldments, and a 1-year warranty on electrical and hydraulic equipment, parts, and labor.
An award will be made on the basis of the lowest total price listed on both line 4s bid forms for the 12 cubic yard unit for the MSW compactor (C1) and 8 cubic yard unit for the recycling compactor (C2). Timeliness of delivery of equipment and spare parts along with timeliness of dispatching repair technicians may be considered when making this award.
To be eligible for a contract award, bidders must be qualified and able to provide references of three firms to which similar equipment and services have been provided during the past five years to a comparable-sized institution or company. Awarded contractors must provide a certificate of insurance and maintain minimum specified limits.

Notices of intent to protest and protests must be made in writing. The written notice of intent to protest the intent to award a contract must be filed no later than five (5) working days after the notice of intent to award is issued. The written protest must be received no later than ten (10) working days after the notice of intent to award is issued.
