This procurement is for the furnishing and installation of a chartplotter and radar for a County of Rockland Sheriff's marine unit vessel. Vendors must comply with general terms and conditions for commodities and nonprofessional services. Delivery must be made as ordered and in accordance with the terms of the contract. Unless otherwise specified in the bid specifications, delivery shall be made within thirty calendar days after receipt of a purchase order by the contractor.
The contractor shall not process a transaction for payment through the credit card clearinghouse until the purchased products have been shipped or services performed.
The repaired, replaced or substituted products shall be subject to all terms and conditions for new products set forth in the contract, including product warranties.
All employees, subcontractors or agents performing work under the contract must be trained technicians who meet or exceed the technical and training qualifications set forth in the bid specifications or the bid, whichever is better.
The contractor agrees that in the event employees will be hired for this project, it will make a good faith effort to employ persons residing in Rockland County for the particular job title required.
Where a site inspection is required by the bid specifications or project definition, bidder shall be required to inspect the site, including environmental or other conditions or pre-existing deficiencies in the installed product, equipment or environment, which may affect bidders ability to properly deliver, install or otherwise provide the required product.
The commissioner reserves the right to request from the bidder/contractor a representative sample of the product offered at any time prior to or after award of a contract. Unless otherwise instructed, samples shall be furnished within the time specified in the request.
Bidder may be disqualified from receiving awards if bidder, or anyone in bidder's employment, has previously failed to perform satisfactorily in connection with public bidding or contracts.
