City of Union City is seeking statements of qualifications and fee proposals from general contractors for the construction of Fire Station #44. The project involves building a new 3-story fire station. Prequalification statements are due June 26, 2026. Proposals are due July 24, 2026, submitted electronically via BidNet. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for July 1, 2026. The award will be made to the responsible proposer whose proposal is most advantageous based on price and evaluation factors including contracting team, past performance, and methodology/proposed schedule.
Proposals are due electronically via BidNet on July 24, 2026, at 12:00 p. m. Hard copies are due July 28, 2026, at 12:00 p. m.
The city shall pay the contractor following receipt of a detailed and correct invoice, reflecting actual work performed. Payment will be made by the city within thirty (30) days of receipt of the detailed and correct pay application by the finance department from the program manager.
The performance bond includes a one-year guarantee period from the date of damages, injury, or loss.
The award shall be made to the responsible proposer whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to Union City based upon, but not limited to, price and the evaluation factors set forth in the RFP, which are weighted as follows: Contracting Team (25%), Past Performance (20%), Methodology Proposed Schedule (40%), and Firms Cost/Fee Proposal (15%).
Firms must be experienced in the construction of similar developments, with at least one principal demonstrating a minimum of five years of experience in responsible charge or major expertise in the field. The proposer must show a minimum experience of three projects of similar scope and must be a general contractor licensed by the state of Georgia.
A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for July 1, 2026, at 1:00 p. m. at **** Union Street, Union City, GA ****.
Questions regarding the RFP are due by July 8, 2026, at 12:00 p. m.
Proposals may be rejected or disqualified if they arrive after the set time for submittal, are incomplete in any material aspect, are submitted without required insurance, or are submitted by a company on the ineligible source list.
