Request for Information ( RFI) regarding the ability of vendors to provide self- contained breathing apparatus ( SCBA) gear for Region 5 within California. Self- contained breathing apparatus ( SCBA) gear for the replacement and standardization of all self- contained breathing apparatus ( SCBA) gear for R5 forests. SCBA pack frame shall be Drager PSS5000 or Drager PSS7000 with Sentinel 7000 pass system. SCBA shall have obtained NFPA approvals to NFPA 1981 current edition and NFPA 1982 current edition. SCBA shall have installed UEBSS universal emergency breathing supply system. SCBA shall have one 1 45- minute carbon fiber cylinders approved with the SCBA system. Additional OEM cylinders and capacities may be supplied as requested. SCBA shall have a quick connect system to release the cylinder. Cylinder quick connect adapter must be able to be removed and reapplied revealing a standard fitting in the field to support mutual aid operational compatibility.
