This is a draft program announcement for a protein sequencing program (PROSE) by DARPA. The deadline for comments on the draft is July 1, 2025. The anticipated posting date for the final program announcement is July 3, 2025. Proposals are anticipated to be due on August 28, 2025. The program is a 36-month effort with two phases. The program seeks innovative proposals in protein sequencing, with specific exclusion criteria. The program will address two technical challenges: developing protein read elements and developing microsystem architectures. Proposals must describe credible plans to conduct research and development that addresses both technical challenges and provide a vision for fully integrated protein sequencing on a microsystem. Contractors are prohibited from concurrently providing systems engineering technical assistance, advisory and assistance services, or similar support services and being a technical performer, unless a written waiver is granted by the DARPA deputy director. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking a contractor to provide preventative maintenance, emergency service, and remote diagnostic services for nitrogen determinators at the Eastern Laboratory (EL). The contract includes annual preventative maintenance, a minimum of two emergency service visits per contractual period, and access to remote troubleshooting. The contractor must provide a tentative maintenance schedule within 15 days of contract award.
