This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items for special dietary foods and food specialty preparations. The solicitation is a 100% small business set aside. Items will be awarded individually, and more than one item may be awarded to a single contractor. Evaluation factors are price and past performance. Vendors with a poor past performance record will not be considered. Delivery is FOB destination to FCI La Tuna, Anthony, Texas. All deliveries must be palletized unless prior arrangements are made. Non-frozen, perishable foods must be delivered between **** degrees F. Canned goods must be delivered above 36 degrees F and not frozen. Frozen foods must be delivered at 0 degrees F or below. Any product indicating prior thawing will be refused. All certified religious diet items must be marked with the kosher symbol. Items that fail to meet specifications will be refused. All items must be dated. Delivery hours are 7:30 am - 1:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Substitutions to specifications are prohibited. The government reserves the right to reject damaged items or items not to specifications. Quotes must indicate solicitation number, technical description, terms of warranty, price, and discount terms. Quotes must include acknowledgment of amendments, if any.
The period of performance for most items is July 1, 2026, to July 15, 2026. The bid notice states, All deliveries must be palletized unless prior arrangements were agreed to by FCI La Tuna warehouse staff and or material handlers no side loaded pallets.
