Bids are requested for janitorial services for a period of one year with an option to extend for another year. Bids are due by June 12, 2026, at 11:30 a. m. The contract is a set-aside bid for qualified women's business enterprises, minority business enterprises, small business enterprises, and veteran business enterprises. Bidders must have two years of experience providing similar services. A site visit is recommended but not mandatory. Bids must be submitted electronically. Environmental cleaning products are required.
Bids are to be received on June 12, 2026, at 11:30 a. m.
Invoices will be processed monthly and must be submitted no later than two weeks after the end of each month. Payment will be made in accordance with the county of Mercer's policy and procedures.
The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder whose bid proposal is most advantageous to the county.
Bidders shall have two years of experience providing similar services. Bidders must also comply with all immigration and naturalization laws and undergo criminal background checks for employees.
If services are found to be unsatisfactory, work shall be performed at no additional cost to the county. Failure to meet cleanliness standards may lead to formal complaints and possible contract cancellation.
A site visit is scheduled for June 2, 2026, at 10:00 a. m. It is not mandatory but strongly recommended.
If so requested, the vendor shall submit a sample of the units or merchandise.
Any prospective bidder who wishes to challenge a bid specification shall file such challenges in writing with the contracting agent no less than three business days prior to the opening of the bids.
Failure to submit required items is a mandatory cause for rejection of bid. Bids may be rejected for containing conditions, omissions, unexplained erasures or alterations, or irregularities.
