Qualified contractors are invited to bid on supplying materials and labor to repair the Deer Trail Sand Shed. This includes recovering the fabric shed, replacing the front endwall steel, an 18' gather door, and a man door. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 14, 2026. Sealed bids are due electronically by 2:00 PM MDST on July 23, 2026, via bidnet. com. Minimum requirements include prior general contracting experience, demonstrated similar project experience, and bonding capability. The contract will be awarded to the low responsible bidder. Substantial completion is expected within 60 calendar days from the notice to proceed, with final completion within 45 days thereafter.

Firms must have provided general contracting services within the last three years for at least two projects each in excess of $60,****, demonstrated specific general contracting experience in projects of similar scope and complexity, and demonstrated bonding capability up to $60,****.
Failure to complete the work within the agreed number of calendar days shall be considered breach of contract and subject the bidder to liquidated damages as specified in article 54d of the general conditions of the contract.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the job site located at 375 Elm Street, Deer Trail, Colorado, outside of the existing VSF on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

Firms must not have been previously terminated by CDOT for nonperformance or disqualified as a nonresponsible bidder on a state buildings contract or procurement.
