Rest Area Remodel Construction services, including maintenance and repair of existing rest area vending structures, offsite utilities, new accessible restrooms, entry vestibules, structural stabilization, new grade beams, helical piles, new floor slabs, epoxy terrazzo flooring, plaster finish and paint, insulated storefront units, rollup doors, stainless steel toilet partitions, porcelain glazed CMU walls, steel frames, roof replacement, wood- framed storage addition with masonry veneer, plumbing work ( sanitary piping, domestic water piping, fixtures, well tank, pressure tank pump system, water heater), and HVAC system replacement ( 5- ton heat pump).

Lot 1: ONLY ONLINE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS RFB. Emailed and hard copies delivered by any method WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. On this line, Bidders must enter $ 0. 00 for Contract Amount in the e- procurement system. Actual Contract Amount must be entered on " Official Bid Document" and submitted as an attachment in the e- procurement system. Vendors should review and update, if necessary, all addresses and contact persons for their account prior to bid submission. This information will carry forward to a contract if awarded, therefore please ensure all information is correct. Entire Official Bid Document and Bid Bond ( if required) should be combined as one PDF and uploaded The project consists of a full renovation of the existing Rest Area & Vending Structures along with approximately 2 miles of off- site utilities. The primary architectural intervention in the existing design is the addition of two new accessible restrooms and an entry vestibule for the existing restrooms at the ends of the existing entry concourse. The existing concrete slabs are being removed as part of the structural stabilization which includes new grade beams, helical piles, and new floor slabs. All areas will receive a new epoxy terrazzo floor, and the entry shall include wall bases. The curved, structural CMU wall surrounding the restrooms will remain and receive new plaster finish and paint. The tile mural of the state of Kentucky will be left in place and protected during construction. Soffits and ceilings will be rebuilt to match the existing design. All existing single glazed windows will be removed and replaced with insulated storefront units that match the mullion layout of the original design and will include the lateral reinforcing at the mullions over the concrete wall panels that were part of the original design. Glazing at the new, accessible restrooms and vestibules will have a translucent film of the third surface of the glazing units for privacy. The design will be altered to add two roll- up doors connecting the maintenance area
