The city of bay city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the most responsive and responsible bidder whose bid is determined by the city of bay city to be in its best interest.
Bidders shall submit evidence of qualifications meeting the requirements of general contract provisions **** by the prime contractor of mdot prequalification at the time of bidding will be considered an acceptable form of evidence.
If the selected contractor fails to provide the required materials andor execute the contract within fifteen 15 calendar days after being furnished with the necessary contract and bond forms, the proposal guaranty will be forfeited to the sponsor in accordance with section **** of the general provisions.
Each bidder is individually responsible for the careful examination of the site of the proposed work.

A bidder shall be considered disqualified for submitting more than one proposal from the same partnership, firm, or corporation under the same or different name; evidence of collusion among bidders; or if the bidder is considered to be in default for any reason specified in paragraph ****, issuance of proposal forms, of this section.
