The Town of Greenburgh is seeking bids for pool chemicals and supplies. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope by 2:00 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026. The bid opening will be held at the same time and location. The Town reserves the right to make multiple split awards or award on an item-by-item basis. Bidders must submit unit prices in figures and words, with the price in words taking precedence in case of discrepancy. Delivery is FOB destination to specified locations. The Town is exempt from federal and New York State taxes. Successful bidders will be provided with tax exemption certificates. Bidders must be authorized to do business in New York State and be current in their tax payments. Insurance requirements include general liability, owner's and contractor's protective liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, disability, and employer's liability insurance. A certificate of insurance must be provided prior to contract inception. The contractor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Town of Greenburgh from any and all claims. A noncollusive bidding certification is required. Bidders must submit detailed specifications and a sample if requested. The bid prices are valid for one full year from the Town's acceptance. There is no guarantee that any quantities will be ordered, and listed quantities are estimates only.
The bid opening will be held at 2:00 p. m. , Friday, May 8, 2026, at the meeting room, Town Hall, 177 Hillside Avenue, White Plains, New York 10603. The Town Clerk will receive sealed bids at the Town Clerk's office, Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Avenue, White Plains, New York, **** until 2:00 p. m. , on Friday, May 8, 2026.
The bidder guarantees that the material and/or equipment offered is standard new material and/or equipment, latest model or regular stock products with parts regularly used for the type of material and/or equipment offered that such parts are all in production and none likely to be discontinued also that no attachment or part has been substituted or applied contrary to manufacturers standard guarantee against defect in design, materials, or workmanship applied to all material and/or equipment delivered to the Town of Greenburgh.
For commodities, award shall be made on the basis of lowest price among responsive and responsible offers. A split award may be made, since the town has specified in the solicitation, that they have the right to award bids on an item by item basis.
The bidder must be authorized to do business within the State of New York and be currently in good standing. The bidder must certify to the Town that they are current in their payment of all franchise and other taxes due the State of New York. The bidder must certify that no officer, director, or stockholder if less than ten (10) stockholders of the successful bidder is an officer or employee of the Town. If such officer, director, or stockholder does exist, their names and relationship must be disclosed to the Town.
Bidder must submit with his bid detailed specifications, a sample if requested, and all necessary data on the material and/or equipment he proposes to furnish.
