The contractor shall be responsible for the security, maintenance, loss or damage to itsequipment or its subcontractors equipment while on hhs agency premises. The contractor or an independent third party may need to conduct comprehensive, statewidetexas department of public safety dps criminal and sex offender background checks on allcontractor personnel e. g. , permanent and temporary personnel andor subcontractor andsubcontractor personnel who will be assigned to perform the services under the contract. The contractor shall provide substitutes for any of its employees or subcontractors employeesproviding services at the hhs facility who may be absent for any reason. The contractor shall have an active telephone service answered during normal business hours. The contractor must provide the hhs agency contract manager with 24hour contactinformation for a minimum of two 2 contractor personnel so the hhs agency maycommunicate urgent performance issues that require immediate correction or any other issuesthat may occur. The contractor shall provide competent supervisors if the service location is at an hhs agencyfacility. The hhs agency may request removal for cause of any contractor or subcontractor employee assigned to the contract. The use or possession of any kind of intoxicants or illegal drugs by contractor or any of itssubcontractors employees while on duty at hhs agency premises, including the building andgrounds, is prohibited. All hhs agency facilities are nonsmoking buildings. Contractors and subcontractorsemployees are prohibited from smoking in all nondesignated areas. All contractor and subcontractor employees are required to wear company uniforms andidentifying badges while providing services in or delivering to hhs agency premises. If bidders identify subcontracting opportunitiesor have a need to subcontract to fulfill any portion of an awarded contract, bidders areencouraged to submit, with their proposal, a properly completed hsp. Prices offered, as part of the bidders response, must be firm, fixed prices for the life of thecontract. Contractors are required to immediately implement any price decrease that become availableduring the contract term.
