This is a public tender for an all-inclusive guided tour service for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Talent Search and Upward Bound programs. The trip will be for 5 days and 4 nights, from June 1 to June 5, 2026, to San Antonio, Austin, and Houston, Texas. The service must include all meals, entrance fees, lodging (40 double occupancy rooms and 8 single rooms), and ground transportation. A professional tour guide/trip leader is required. The bid submission deadline is Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11:00 am CST, and bids must be received electronically. The bid opening will be conducted via Zoom on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 2:00 pm CST. Bidders are responsible for visiting and examining the job site and taking measurements. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette adheres to Net 60 payment terms. All other payment terms must be disclosed with the bid, as stricter payment terms may lead to bid rejection.
The manufacturers standard published warranty and provisions shall apply, unless more stringent warranties are otherwise required by UL Lafayette and specified in the solicitation. In such cases, the bidder and/or manufacturer shall honor the specified warranty requirements, and bid prices shall include any premium costs of such coverage.
The intent is to award this bid to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. UL Lafayette reserves the right to award items separately, grouped, or on an all-or-none basis, as deemed in its best interest.
Bid submissions must be signed by a person authorized to bind the vendor. In accordance with Louisiana R. S. 39:1594, the person signing the bid must be a corporate officer, a member of a partnership, or an authorized representative with supporting documentation of authority. Bidders must also submit a certificate of insurance with the bid submission or provide specific policy details.
Failure to deliver within the time specified in the bid award will constitute a default and may be cause for contract cancellation. Where the university has determined the vendor to be in default, UL Lafayette reserves the right to purchase any or all goods or services covered by the contract on the open market and to surcharge the vendor with costs in excess of the contract price.
