The contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment necessary to provide, install, and train for the tensile testing system for the physics and engineering department at francis marion university. Payment will be made in accordance with section **** of the south carolina consolidated procurement code and disbursement regulations. The contractor shall not subcontract work with another company under the terms of this contract or otherwise assign this contract unless approval is obtained from the fmu director of purchasing or hisher assigned designee during normal business hours by calling 843 **** will not be allowed for this particular contract only the contractor is permitted to perform this work. The contractor must comply with the insurance documentation requirements listed under section vii. terms conditions b. special under the subsection entitled contractors liability insurance. The contractor must provide a copy of certificate of liability insurance acord 25 with their bid. The contractor shall inform the university immediately if insurance is reduced by claims placed by others. Coverage shall be maintained without interruption from the date of commencement of the work until the date of final payment. The contractor shall notify the universitys liaison upon completion of work and prior to leaving the work site. The contractor shall not engage the services of any staff leasing company pursuant to s. c. code ann. section **** **** et seq. to perform any services required under the terms and conditions of this contract without the expressed written consent of the state. Unauthorized use of a staff leasing services company by the contractor to fulfill the terms and conditions of this contract shall result in termination of the contract for cause. The effective date of this contract is the first day of the maximum contract period as specified on the final statement of award. The initial term of this agreement is one year from the effective date. Regardless, this contract expires no later than the last date stated on the final statement of award. Any change orders to the contract must be communicated in writing between the contractor and the university purchasing office. Any change orders, alterations, amendments or other modifications hereunder shall not be effective unless reduced to writing and approved by the buyer responsible for this solicitation and the contractor. All questions, problems or changes arising after award of this contract shall be directed to the buyer responsible for this solicitation, at the phone number and address shown on the cover page. Francis Marion University requires all contractual activities to be in compliance with local, state, and federal mandates concerning protection of human health and the environment. Any contractor doing business with the state will be required to document compliance and to specify prudent practices used by the contractor to address applicable mandates including, but not restricted to the hazard communication standard osha cfr **** scrr article 1, 71****.
