The bid is for the provision of nutritional products. Bids must be received by February 18, 2026. Award will be made to the most responsive, responsible bidders meeting specifications. Samples may be required. The delivery address will be the Knox County Sheriffs Office. The contract length will be one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. Questions must be submitted in writing by February 4, 2026. The evaluation criteria are price and substitution rate.
The bid notice states that knox county requires that all the nutritional product orders be processed immediately and shipped within seven 7 business days to the address listed on each purchase order or order placed via credit card.
Knox County utilizes two methods of payment: purchase orders and the Knox County credit card Visa. Vendors must indicate if they accept the credit card. The notice also states that vendors are advised that a minimum of thirty 30 days is required to process invoices for payment.
The contractor warrants that all items delivered and services rendered will conform to specifications and be fit for the particular purpose purchased. The contractor extends to Knox County all warranties allowed under the U. C. C.

Vendors must be registered with the procurement division prior to submitting their bid. Vendors must also provide proof of financial and business capability upon request.
Failure to meet the stated delivery terms may be just cause for termination of award. If a vendor defaults, Knox County reserves the right to procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the defaulting vendor responsible for any excess costs. Knox County may also remove the vendor from the bidders list for 24 months.
The procurement division will notify the bidders when to submit their samples. Samples will not be returned.
Any protest or question regarding the specifications or bidding procedures must be received in the procurement division by February 4, 2026 @4:30 p. m. local time.
