Project involves pedestrian safety enhancements in NW Aurora, including construction of bulb outs and high visibility crosswalk markings. Bids are due July 24, 2026. An optional pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 7, 2026. The estimated budget is between $1,175,610 and $1,436,860. Work must be completed within 90 working days. All communication and bid submissions are to be handled through the Rocky Mountain e-Purchasing System (BidNet).
All work, except landscape establishment, must be completed within ninety (90) working days upon issuance of notice to proceed.
The city shall make progress payments on account of the contract price on the basis of contractors applications for payment on or about thirty (30) days after submission. Ninety-five (95) percent of work completed will be paid, with the balance being retainage.
Award will be to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder, based on the city's evaluation.
Prior to submitting a bid, the bidder shall have received prequalification status active status with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth in the general statement of work.
Failure to complete the work as prescribed shall be considered as a breach of contract and subject to liquidated damages per Colorado Department of Transportation standard specifications ****.
Bidders are encouraged to visit the jobsite to become familiar with local conditions that may affect the cost, progress, performance or completion of the project.
