This renovation includes renovations of existing restrooms & showers, classrooms, office spaces, storage, personnel lockers, new office and IT spaces, and food service area. Work includes replacement of existing HVAC units, replacement of storm and sanitary sewer piping, and obsolete lighting fixtures.

Entire Official Bid Document and Bid Bond ( if required) should be combined as one PDF and uploaded The Work includes extensive interior and exterior renovations to the East Bound Rest Area facility on I- 64 Mile Marker **** in Carter County, Kentucky. All plumbing fixtures and piping ( including below slab waste) will be replaced. HVAC system including duct work will be replaced. Electrical and Data Voice wiring and devices will be replaced. Various exterior site improvements will be included. Floor and wall base will receive new M. M. A. coating system at Restroom Building. Restroom walls will receive new ceramic tile. Restroom building will receive new FRP doors and frames. See drawings and specifications for additional information.

Entire Official Bid Document and Bid Bond ( if required) should be combined as one PDF and uploaded The project consists of a full renovation of the existing Rest Area & Vending Structures along with approximately 2 miles of off- site utilities. The primary architectural intervention in the existing design is the addition of two new accessible restrooms and an entry vestibule for the existing restrooms at the ends of the existing entry concourse. The existing concrete slabs are being removed as part of the structural stabilization which includes new grade beams, helical piles, and new floor slabs. All areas will receive a new epoxy terrazzo floor, and the entry shall include wall bases. The curved, structural CMU wall surrounding the restrooms will remain and receive new plaster finish and paint. The tile mural of the state of Kentucky will be left in place and protected during construction. Soffits and ceilings will be rebuilt to match the existing design. All existing single glazed windows will be removed and replaced with insulated storefront units that match the mullion layout of the original design and will include the lateral reinforcing at the mullions over the concrete wall panels that were part of the original design. Glazing at the new, accessible restrooms and vestibules will have a translucent film of the third surface of the glazing units for privacy. The design will be altered to add two roll- up doors connecting the maintenance area
