The BAA will remain open for 5 years from the posting date or until amended or superseded. Specific due dates and times for proposals in response to RFPs will be specified in each RFP issued by the Contracting Officer.

The BAA is intended to cover basic research, applied research, and advanced technology development. White papers will be evaluated against specific criteria, and if favorably evaluated, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued.

This acquisition is unrestricted. Small businesses are encouraged to propose on all or any part of this solicitation. The NAICS code for this acquisition is ****, research and development in the physical, engineering, and life sciences except nanotechnology and biotechnology, and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees.

The cumulative amount for awards issued under this BAA is anticipated not to exceed $750,000,000.
