The City of Seguin is soliciting bids for an annual contract for on-site generator maintenance. Bids are due August 19, 2026, by 10:00 AM. The contract term is one year, with options for three additional one-year extensions. A walkthrough of facilities can be scheduled upon request. Bids will only be considered from firms normally engaged in providing these services. Respondents must provide references. Pricing for preventive maintenance includes travel; separate fees for repair services and hourly labor rates are required. The city reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
Bids are due Wednesday, August 19, 2026, by 10:00 a. m. Central Time.
Payment of invoices by the City shall be made thirty 30 days after receipt and acceptance of all equipment or performance of services covered by each purchase order or following the receipt of an accurate invoice, whichever is later, in compliance with state statute. Bidder shall state his bid in accordance with the standard payment terms and conditions of the City of Seguin of net 30 days.
The contractor warrants to the City that all goods delivered will conform to the specifications, drawings, or other descriptions furnished or incorporated by reference, will be of merchantable quality, good workmanship, free from defects, and fit for all purposes specified in this contract.
The City reserves the right to award a bid or contract to the bidder who provides goods or services at the best value for the City. In determining the best value for the City, the City may consider the following to include but not limited to: Price, Reputation of bidder, Work experience of bidder, Quality of bidders goods and services, Conformance to specifications, Bidders past relationship with the City, Total estimated longterm cost in a contract with bidder, Crew availability, Material delivery.
Bids will only be considered from firms normally engaged in providing the types of services and products specified herein. Respondents shall have adequate organization, facilities, equipment and personnel to ensure prompt and efficient service to the City. Service technicians shall be fully qualified to work on the listed equipment and employed by the successful respondent on the effective date of the contract. Respondent shall verify that service personnel have had training with a minimum of one year of hands on experience working on the listed equipment.
Default in promised delivery, without acceptable reasons, or failure to meet specifications without remedy shall cause the City to purchase the goods elsewhere and charge any increase in cost and handling to the defaulting vendor.
A walkthrough of facilities subject to this contract will be scheduled upon request. Prior arrangements must be made. Appointments can be scheduled with the facilities maintenance office at **** or ****.
