The Town of Christiansburg is seeking proposals for a comprehensive compensation and classification study. The study will evaluate current pay structures, compare them to similar municipalities and the private sector, and recommend adjustments to improve employee retention and recruitment. Proposals are due by July 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM EST. Electronic submissions are preferred. Questions are due by July 7, 2026.

Payment terms are net 45 days after receipt of contractor's correct invoice and completion of all services.
The contractor agrees that the supplies or services furnished shall be covered by the most favorable commercial warranties the contractor gives any customer. A copy of this warranty must be furnished with the bid.
Selection shall be made to the proposal deemed to be fully qualified and best suited among those submitting proposals on the basis of the evaluation factors included in the request for proposal, including price, qualifications, experience, and references.
Offerors shall submit a complete response to the RFP, including a corporate registration form, general information form, references, and a detailed response to each item in the scope of services.
In case of failure to deliver goods or services in accordance with the contract terms and conditions, the town may procure them from other sources and hold the contractor responsible for any resulting additional purchase and administrative costs.
Contractors signature on the contract constitutes certification that contractor has inspected the job site and is aware of the conditions under which the work must be accomplished. Claims as a result of failure to inspect the job site are barred.
Contractual claims must be submitted in writing to the town manager no later than sixty 60 days after final payment, with written notice of intention to file such claim given at the time of the occurrence or beginning of the work.
Proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted. Proposals which are substantially incomplete, or lack key information, may be rejected as incomplete.
