The bid is for milling and paving services at the courthouse parking lot. Proposals are due November 18, 2025, by 10:00 AM EST. A site visit is required. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment. The work includes site preparation, asphalt milling and paving, and pavement markings. The awarded contractor must enter into a contract with the county. The schedule of work shall take place on consecutive weekends between december 26, 2025, and march 29, 2026. The contractor must provide a detailed cost breakdown and submit a certificate of insurance for liability and workers compensation.
The contractor shall fully complete all work no later than march 29, 2026. for each day in excess of the above date, the contractor shall pay theowner the amount of one thousand dollars 1, **** as liquidated damages reasonably estimated in advanceto cover the losses to be incurred by the owner should the contractor fail to complete the work within the timespecified.
Payment will be made in one lump sum within thirty 30 consecutive days after acceptance of the work and the submission both of notarized contractors affidavit and four copies of invoices, which are to include the contract, account and job order numbers.
The contractor shall unconditionally guarantee materials and workmanship against patent defects arising from faulty materials, faulty workmanship or negligence for a period of twelve 12 months following the final acceptance of the work and shall replace such defective materials or workmanship without cost to the owner.
Carteret county government reserves the right to award to multiple contractors deemed to be fully qualified and bestsuited among others submitting proposals on the basis of the evaluation factors included within this rfp.
