Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC) is soliciting bids for the replacement of Bridge **** in Wasilla, Alaska. The project involves removing the existing timber bridge and constructing a new concrete and steel structure. Bids are due by 3:00 PM on June 30, 2026. A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for June 23, 2026. Contractors must acknowledge all addenda. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Federal funds are involved, requiring compliance with federal regulations. A drug and alcohol-free workplace is mandatory. Certified payrolls must be submitted weekly. Invoices shall be submitted to accounts payable, Alaska Railroad Corporation, PO Box ****, Anchorage, AK **** to timely submit complete and accurately filled out weekly certified payrolls to ARRC may result in the delay of payment on the contract.
ARRC may award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the low responsive offeror whose offer conforming to this solicitation will be the most advantageous to the ARRC.
Before a bid is considered for award, ARRC may request a bidder to submit information regarding the bidder's capability in all respects to fully perform the contract requirements or the individual integrity and reliability which will assure good faith performance.
Should contractor fail to reach substantial completion within the time specified in the contract and any associated change orders, amendments, and/or supplements, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to owner in the amount of **** for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted.
A nonmandatory site visit will be held at 12:00 p. m. , June 23, 2026, at the Wasilla Section House, 411 Depot Road.
An aggrieved bidder/offeror may protest an ARRC procurement action by filing a written protest with the procurement officer in accordance with the procedures and time limits specified in ARRC procurement rules ****.
Failure to execute contract, or fails to furnish the required bonds and insurance within the time specified, the amount of his bid security may be retained by ARRC as liquidated damages.
