Entire Official Bid Document and Bid Bond ( if required) should be combined as one PDF and uploaded The Base BID Work shall include construction of a reinforced concrete auxiliary spillway with two, 8 feet by 16 feet, precast concrete culverts through the dam crest to serve as the spillway inlet with a reinforced concrete stepped chute along the downstream slope that discharges into a reinforced concrete stilling basin at the toe of the dam. A reinforced concrete floodwall with concrete cutoff shall be constructed along the upstream crest of the dam along KY- 555 with rockfill placed along the upstream slope of the dam. A rockfill stability berm shall be constructed along the downstream slope. The BASE BID Work further includes a new low- level drawdown valve in the dry well of the riser structure, replacement of the existing low level drawdown valve, and remediation of concrete cracking and seepage in the existing principal spillway culvert. In addition, the City of Springfields raw water intake will be abandoned and new raw water intake lines installed within the principal spillway culvert. A Contractor designed Water Diversion Plan is required.
