The Town of Needham is accepting sealed bids for oncall tree crane services. Bids must be submitted no later than 1:30 PM, October 30, 2025, to the administration office of the public works department. The contract term is from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with possible extensions. Bidders must provide a bid deposit. Questions are due by October 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The town reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The contract may be renewed or extended for up to 2 years, in one-year terms, at the sole discretion of the town. The initial term of this agreement shall commence on on january 1, 2026, and end on december 31, 2026. This agreement may be renewed or extended for up to two 2 yearly extensions, through december31, 2027, and december 31, 2028, respectively, at the sole option of the town and upon the terms described in the invitation for bid. Bidders must submit a completed bid form. If the bid submission is signed by someone other than the ownerpresident of the company, a completed bid form h: certificate of authority of corporate resolution for the person who signed the proposal or a valid corporate resolution stating the individual has the authority to submit the proposal on behalf of the company and can bind the company to the contract if awarded. the bid deposit bond enclosed. The contractor must paint and restore one SH60B Seahawk and one A1D Skyraider aircraft. Work must be completed within 120 calendar days. The deadline for responses is October 9, 2025. The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations. The government will inspect the work upon completion. The contractor must remove all debris and hazardous materials. The contractor must provide all labor, tools, supplies, materials, and equipment. The contractor must ensure that painting is performed to reflect the historic color of the aircraft during active operations. The contractor must comply with US Navy and EPA regulations for handling or hazardous material and paint. The contractor must coordinate all environmental protection matters with the NAVSUP WSS government representatives. The contractor must provide and maintain work environments and procedures which will: safeguard the public and government personnel, property, materials, supplies, and equipment exposed to the contractor operations and activities. The contractor must adhere to all hazardous material regulations on US Navy installation. The contractor must designate an employee to serve as the contractors security representative. The contractor must reply in writing within 5 days of receipt identifying how future occurrences of the problem will be prevented.
