Contractor must provide resumes demonstrating a minimum of two years of experience leading, planning, and executing music within a Protestant congregational worship setting. Proficiency in playing acoustic guitar and piano is required, with sight-reading ability preferred. Experience with a wide range of Protestant denominational music styles is necessary. A formal, signed letter of good standing from a current pastor or active church leadership is also required.

Any violation of safety rules and requirements, unless promptly corrected, may be considered grounds for termination of this contract.

If the irc or background check comes back with unfavorable results, the contractor has the right to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information in the report.

Activities and behavior contrary to mission requirements and standards, unfavorable background check results, or violation of safety rules may be grounds for contract termination.

Proposals must be received no later than August 13th, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

A certified check for two months of the annual fee is due upon award. Regular monthly payments will be due on the first of the month upon opening of the café.

Proposals will be evaluated based on relevant experience and qualifications (35 points), menu, pricing, and business plan (30 points), customer service and staffing (20 points), and financial offer (15 points).

Proposals must include company profile, qualifications, sample menu pricing, operational plan, staffing plan, financial offer, and references.

Failure to make payments in a timely manner may result in the cancellation of the contract. Failure to meet delivery schedule may result in legal action.

A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the offices of the Amherst Center for Senior Services. Proposers are strongly encouraged to attend.

Incomplete proposals may be rejected or scored lower. Failure to provide required insurance within 14 days of notice of award may result in the vendor being declared nonresponsive.

Setup will occur on Monday, September 21, 2026, between 7:30 AM and 12 PM ET, with teardown on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 12 PM to 3 PM ET. he poster board units will be set up on mon, sept 21 between 7:30am 12pm et, with tear down being on fri, sept 25 from 12pm 3pm et.

Contractors must furnish a resume demonstrating proficiency, which can include an academic degree in music or prior experience such as 1 year as a worship music director. They must be able to lead a praise band/team and vocal congregational singing. Technical proficiency will be evaluated through an assessment of written music, reading music, playing notes, vocalizing, and performing music satisfactorily with no more than 3 mistakes. Experience in church music, vocal and instrumental instruction, hymnology, and religious music is desirable. Clear communication in English is required; if English is a second language, specific TOEIC, TOEFL, or EIKEN scores are needed.
