Hazardous Waste Disposal Service The procurement includes hazardous waste disposal services for the Portland VA Health Care System ( VAHCS), covering both Portland and Vancouver campuses. Services include weekly chemical pickups from satellite accumulation areas, scheduled 90- day hazardous waste pickups from central accumulation storage areas, spill cleanup, and lab pack services. Specific waste types include alcohols, acetonitrile, compressed gases, used oil, flammable liquids and solids, aerosols, poison toxic waste, non- RCRA/non- DOT regulated materials, corrosive waste, oxidizers, reactive waste, universal waste ( batteries), caustic hazardous waste, mercury waste, and hazardous pharmaceutical waste. The contract also covers the provision of RCRA black pharmaceutical containers and dual waste ( bio and RCRA) disposal. Monthly pickup fees and mobilization fees are also included.
