This is to eliminate or reduce the weight of cast pipe cracking pvc below and TYS connections farther down. The transition area is located inside the attic above one unit in the back- to- back 2nd floor bathrooms. Access is gained by a attic scuttle door and a portable ladder is required. The majority of cast vent pipes can be supported using a riser clamp and some others will need minor bracing with 2x4s while others might need unistruts brackets.
