Tree thinning and removal services for fuels reduction The project involves conducting fuels reduction activities, including cutting sawtimber- sized trees and removing material meeting specific tree specifications from the treatment area. Resulting slash will also be treated. The purpose is to reduce fuel loading for public and firefighter safety, improve wildlife habitat, and restore ecological function and resilience. Land management objectives include increasing forest resiliency, age class diversity, promoting vegetation recovery, reducing wildfire risk, and providing wood products.

VRFA Fire Station 38 portion: new two- story fire station ( approx. 14, 960 sq. ft. ) with steel frame, deep foundations, 3 apparatus bays, support spaces, crew workspaces, crew living spaces, and 7 sleeping rooms. Site is approx. 1. 16 acres. Includes site and offsite work: site structures, storm water systems, utilities, landscaping, paving, frontage improvements, and additional work as identified in contract documents. Substantial completion: 426 calendar days after notice to proceed. Final completion: 45 calendar days after substantial completion. 2. VRFA Administrative Headquarters portion: approx. 18, 400 sq. ft. remodeling of an existing medical office building, including extensive demolition and repartitioning of spaces.
