Village wide road shoulder work project 38 roads on the village of bald head island. The work will include preparing the road shoulders, purchase and delivering abc stone to the island installing the stone, compacting the stone and sweeping the roads. shoulder preparation includes cutting back and shaping shoulder. pricing shall include all cost to deliver material to the island including but not limited to barge fees. the village has limited storage for material the contractor can use. site conditions vary at each road location. however, contractor should expect to apply between 3 deep abc stone approximate 12 at each location. of the 38 roads several have multiple sections on both sides of the road. the chart below illustrates the road lf of work and approximate cy of materials.
- Steamboat Rock Dam Mitigation - Phase 1, Iowa River, Hardin County - This project consists of removing the existing dam at/on the Iowa River at Steamboat Rock and replacing it with a series of stone structures. Also included is riverbank shaping, riverbank stabilization, the construction of a granular boat carry- down ramp, tributary step- down structures, a granular foot path, and site restoration. The dam removal shall be staged to allow for a controlled release of sediment. Bid alternate # 1 replaces
