Clayton County is seeking quotes for the removal, transport, and disposal of two Bomag BC772 RB compactors from the county landfill. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 14, 2026. Quotes are due by 3:00 p. m. EST on July 21, 2026. Bidders must be qualified and have demonstrated experience in heavy equipment removal and disposal. All applicable federal, state, and local regulations must be followed. Questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted in writing by July 16, 2026.
Responses to this RFQ will be accepted online by 3:00 p. m. , Eastern Standard Time EST on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
Progress payments will be subject to a five percent (5%) retainage. Retainage will be billed on a separate invoice after the project has been fully completed and accepted.
Contractor warrants that all work shall be free of faults and defects in design, workmanship, and material, and shall be performed in a good and workmanlike manner for a period of one (1) year from substantial completion of the entire project, or for specific warranty periods established in the contract.
Each bidder and its subcontractors shall have the minimum experience qualifications set forth in this RFQ. Bidders must also submit documentation demonstrating they are duly authorized to conduct business in the state of Georgia, a copy of their current, valid business license, and any required professional licenses.
Liquidated damages of **** will be assessed for each calendar day that substantial completion of the work is delayed past the contract time of 180 calendar days.
