NASA Marshall Space Flight Center requires a laser freeform dome demonstrator part. The vendor must fabricate and provide engineering support for the laser powder directed energy deposition (LPED) of the valve dome, be compliant with international traffic in arms regulations (ITAR) and export controls, be compliant with ISO 9001:2015, and have experience with quality management for flight qualification. The vendor must provide witness coupons, hatched panels, and complete a specified quantity of near net shape deposition of the valve dome using a fine feature parameter set with minimal stock, and a coarse feature parameter set with stock targeting 0. 15 inches or greater. The vendor must also provide build documentation, including feedstock certification, build approach documentation, and any further build notes. Deliverables must be shipped to Marshall Space Flight Center central receiving, bldg ****, Huntsville, AL 35812. The period of performance is 4 months from the authority to proceed (ATP). Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 3:00 PM Central Standard Time on June 2, 2025. The government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses, and procedures prescribed in FAR part 12 and FAR part 13. This is a statement of work for the semiannual maintenance of an aircraft fire trainer facility. The contractor is responsible for all management, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and other items necessary to inspect and test the fire training pit and burn building. The work must be performed in accordance with technical order **** and other relevant standards. Additional items may need to be addressed after the inspection and testing. The contractor will need to coordinate with base operations for access.
