The Town of Purcellville, Virginia is seeking bids for intersection improvements at 32nd Street and Main Street. The project includes sidewalk, curb and gutter, storm structures, paving, and pavement markings. Bids are due by June 17, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 21, 2026. All questions must be submitted in writing by June 7, 2026. Contractors must be properly licensed and provide required insurance. The work is expected to be completed within 365 calendar days for substantial completion and 395 calendar days for final completion.
The bids will be accepted until 1:00 PM on June 17, 2026. The work shall be substantially complete in 365 calendar days and achieve final completion in 395 calendar days from the notice to proceed.
Progress payments shall be made monthly, assuming timely and proper submission of invoices by contractor with required documentation.
The work shall be warranted for a period of two years from the date of final project acceptance. The warranty shall assign the rights to materials and manufacturers warranties to the owner.
Owner will award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder unless this invitation to bid, or any and all bids, is cancelled or rejected by the owner.
The Town of Purcellville is accepting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors. Bidders must be licensed as a Class A contractor if the bid is $70,000 or more, or licensed as at least a Class B contractor if the bid is $1,500 or more but less than $70,000.
Liquidated damages are **** per calendar day if the actual completion date of the work extends beyond the time of completion.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on May 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the Purcellville Town Hall. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and acquaint themselves thoroughly with the character and nature of the work.
When required in bid specifications, samples shall be delivered to a location determined by the owner at the bidders expense by the date and time specified in the bid documents. In no case shall said time be later than the bid opening.
All questions regarding this bid must be received in writing by email until 11:59 PM on June 7, 2026.
Failure to submit any items required by this solicitation shall result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive and/or nonresponsible and rejected. Bidders certify that they are not currently debarred by the Commonwealth of Virginia and by the federal government.
