The City of Hanford is seeking bids for the installation of approximately 925 linear feet of 6-foot chain link fence and several gates at the Hanford High School and City of Hanford softball fields. The project also includes concrete flatwork and demolition. Bids are due by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, and will be submitted electronically through BidNet Direct. An optional site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026. All questions must be submitted in writing through BidNet no later than Wednesday, July 29th, 2026. Bidders must be licensed and registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. A bid bond of at least 10% of the bid amount is required. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
Bids are due by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026.
The city shall retain 5% of the estimated value of the work done and materials on hand, and shall monthly pay the contractor the balance not retained, after deducting all previous payments and sums to be kept or retained.
A surety bond in a penal sum of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the contract is required as warranty security for the correction of deficiencies during the specified guaranty period.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with all the requirements prescribed.
Bidder shall certify that he is licensed under the provisions of chapter 9, division 3 of the business and professions code of the state of California to do the type of work contemplated and is skilled and regularly engaged in the general class and type of work called for.
The contractor shall forfeit two hundred dollars (****) to the city for each calendar day or portion thereof, for each worker paid less than the prevailing rates.
An optional site visit will be scheduled for 10:00 a. m. on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026, due to the site being locked and secured.
All questions regarding this project shall be in writing and submitted through BidNet no later than 4:00 p. m. on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026.
Proposals may be rejected if they show any alterations of form, additions not called for, conditional bids, incomplete bids, erasures, or irregularities of any kind. More than one proposal from an individual, firm, or corporation under the same or different names will not be considered.
