Bids are sought for moving company services. Submissions must be paper-only and delivered to the Division of Purchasing by July 14, 2026, 11:00 AM. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must be licensed movers with adequate staff and equipment, and demonstrate experience. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, workers' compensation, and automobile liability. Buy American materials must be used. Contractors will be entitled to monthly payments for services supplied in the previous month. Invoices are to be issued after completion of each move for approval by the Director of Public Works. All payments will then be submitted for approval by the municipal council at the next meeting.

Bidders must be actively engaged in commercial and office moving, licensed by the state of New Jersey, capable of handling large-scale moves, available within seven calendar days of a request, demonstrate adequate staff (minimum 15 full-time employees) and equipment (minimum 5 trucks), and provide references and details of recent moves.
Liquidated damages will be applied if a successful bidder fails to deliver the signed contract and certificate of insurance within ten days of notice of acceptance. The successful bidder, upon his/her failure or refusal to deliver the signed contract and certificate of insurance within the required time shall forfeit the certified check, cashiers check or bid bond to the city as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal.
Bids may be rejected if prices are unbalanced, the bidder has previously performed unsatisfactorily, conditions or limitations are attached to the bid, proposals are irregular, documents are incomplete, or the bidder lacks sufficient equipment. Failure to acknowledge addenda will also result in rejection. Failure to include the bid documents listed immediately above that are marked with an asterisk shall result in automatic rejection of the bid at the time of the bid reception.
