The Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) is seeking information for cold and treated water meter standardization. The deadline for submitting proposals and samples is March 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM PST. Vendors must submit an electronic proposal via the PlanetBids portal and provide a sample of a 5/8 positive displacement meter for evaluation. The evaluation will identify and prioritize viable meter technologies. Vendors must also submit a vendor submission form, technical specifications, test data, warranty terms, documentation of AMI compatibility, and references. The contract will be for an initial five-year base period beginning July 1, 2026. Insurance documentation is required within 15 days after selection. Questions must be received by February 17, 2026.
The bid notice states please send sample meters no later than 4:00 p. m. , thursday, march 19, 2026.
Full payment shall be made for acceptance materials within 45 days after receipt of invoice.
The vendor warrants that the goods specified in this p. o. shall be free from defects in design, material, and workmanship.
CCWD specifically reserves the right to reject any or all proposal, to make any awards or any rejections in what it alone considers to be in the best interest of CCWD, and to waive any irregularities in the proposals.
Vendors must submit the following: completed vendor submission form, technical specifications, test data, warranty terms and conditions, documentation of compatibility with advanced metering infrastructure, and references.
