The Winn Army Community Hospital is seeking to lease a
mobile sterile processing unit (SPU) trailer. The facility's
sterile processing department will be closed for equipment replacement. The
mobile unit will be located at the west side of building B. The contract is a non-personal service contract, and the government will not supervise contractor employees. Hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and facility closures. Detailed specifications for the
mobile SPU trailer are provided, including equipment, environmental controls, safety features, power, weatherproofing, water management, and testing requirements. The vendor must provide a water management plan (WMP) for review and comment before operations begin. Monthly water testing is required to demonstrate compliance with ionic contamination, bacteria, and endotoxin levels. The government will provide power hookups and a single hot and cold water utility hookup. The water quality is slightly outside of utility water requirements. The vendor must provide access to the trailer that is ADA compliant and safety rated per OSHA requirements. The
mobile SPU trailer must have proper egress paths and emergency exits per NFPA 99 requirements. The
mobile SPU trailer must have cart lift capabilities. The
mobile SPU unit must come complete with a built-in wet-pipe fire sprinkler system. The
mobile SPU unit must come with an intrusion alarm system (IAS) or locking mechanism on exterior doors. The vendor must certify that their proposed equipment is weatherproofed to the extent necessary to maintain full operational uptime despite impacts from local weather patterns and climate. If the vendor is not fully aware of all climate protection needed, they will be responsible to provide certain features in the base bid, at no additional cost to the government. The vendor must provide wind zone 2 compliant overhead strapping capabilities due to the facility's location.
