The Plano Independent School District is requesting proposals for the Shepard Elementary School renovation. The project includes renovating select portions of the building, replacing/upgrading electrical panels, installing a new fire alarm system, and other improvements. The owner will contract directly with a construction manager at risk (CMR) for performing general construction of the project. Payment and performance bonds will be required. The proposal will be evaluated based on cost/price, qualifications, reputation, experience, and how well the proposal meets the district's needs.

Standard manufacturers warranty, for all equipment bid, is to be considered a part of these conditions, according to the bid notice.
Plano ISD may consider the following: price/discount, location of vendors principal place of business, reputation of the vendor, qualities of the vendors goods/services, the extent to which the goods/services meet the districts needs, the vendors past relationship with the district, the longterm cost to the district to acquire the vendors goods or services, the impact on the ability of the district to comply with laws and rules relating to historically underutilized businesses and any other relevant factor specifically listed in the request for bids or proposals, as stated in the bid notice.
Each proposer shall complete and include a qualification statement in the proposal package submitted, according to the bid notice.
Liquidated damages are addressed in the general conditions as amended by the owner, as stated in the bid notice.
