The successful bidder will be required to furnish a construction performance bond and a construction payment bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and will award to lowest responsible bidder taking into consideration quality, performance, and time specified in bid form for performance of work.
All prime contractors bidding must be prequalified as prequalified bidder by the ncdot in order to be considered for contract award. All subcontractors must also be prequalified as prequalified bidder or subcontractor by the ncdot prior to beginning work on the project. Contractors must be licensed contractors with either highway or unclassified license in the state of north carolina prior to being awarded this contract. All subcontractors must also be licensed contractors in the state of north carolina if in accordance with nc general statue the work subcontracted requires licensure.
An optional prebid conference will be held at the offices of alley, williams, carmen and king, inc. at 120 s main street on thursday, october 16, 2025, at 2 pm.
