Bids will be accepted until 11:00 AM on August 6, 2025, at SCDNR headquarters, for the sale of forest products. Successful bidders will have 12 months to remove the timber and a $5,000 performance bond is required within 10 days of notification of the award. A preharvest conference will be held prior to the commencement of harvest, and BMP compliance is required. All logging decks, equipment, felled trees, and debris will be confined to the sale area. Damage to adjoining areas and/or excessive damage to residual trees may incur assessment of damages to the buyer. No logging will be allowed when the ground is subject to rutting, but wet weather extensions may be granted for extensive delays. The return of the performance bond will be contingent on SCDNR's inspection of these conditions. Payments for timber removed, mill tickets, and settlement accountings will be mailed to SCDNR headquarters in Columbia or delivered to Gary Burger on a weekly basis.
