A prebid conference will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the offices of Architectural Engineering Services. The work consists of interior classroom renovation of approximately 2,100 sq ft of the engineering physics building, including demolition, finishes, HVAC revisions, and electrical work. Contract time is 100 calendar days.

The tender involves the mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work for the Food Research Center TI Phase 1 building. The contractor is required to furnish labor, materials, and equipment for the completion of the work, in accordance with local and state ordinances and codes. The contractor must visit the site and coordinate installation with existing conditions prior to bidding. Shop drawings, catalog information, and material schedules must be submitted for approval. The disinfection of domestic water piping system is required prior to starting work. Testing of all building sanitary sewer vent piping to ensure water tightness is mandatory. Demolition of existing mechanical systems and equipment in remodeled areas is required. The locations of existing concealed lines and connection points have been indicated as closely as possible. The contractor shall assume that such connection points are within a 10-foot radius of the indicated location. Operation and maintenance manuals, test balance reports, owner instruction on training and maintenance, record drawings, and system equipment guarantees are required. All cutting and patching required for installation of mechanical systems and equipment shall be the responsibility of the contractor. All scheduled equipment must be identified with plastic nameplates and control panels. Piping, concealed or exposed, must be identified with plastic pipe markers or plastic tape pipe markers. Where piping and ductwork penetrates a roof, floor or wall, close off space between pipe and sleeve with 3 lb. fiberglass insulation and elastomeric fire rated sealant. Insulate hydronic and plumbing piping systems including pipe fittings and valves. Insulation shall be glass fiber with all service vapor barrier jacket and shall be greenguard certified. Insulate refrigerant piping systems including pipe fittings and valves. The new rooftop shall be installed on spring isolated brace similar to existing. All fans shall be connected to ductwork with flexible duct connectors. The contractor must obtain and pay for all required state and local installation inspections. Deliver originals of these certificates in the operating and maintenance instructions. All materials shall be UL listed and labeled. The installation of this work shall comply in every way with the requirements of all applicable laws, ordinances, and rules of the state of Idaho, OSHA, the national board of fire underwriters, and the national electrical code.
