The services for the removal, fabrication, prefitting, weight testing, and installation of new nylon trunk safety nets are to be completed within 24 days of the contract, with the possibility of a longer delivery time if the government permits. The contractor shall commence work within 24 hours of the delivery start date. The period of performance is 04 May 2026 - 18 May 2026.
Contractors shall extend to the government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided that such warranty is available at no additional cost to the government. The contractor warrants that all services performed under this contract will, at the time of acceptance, be free from defects in workmanship and conform to the requirements of this contract. The contracting officer shall give written notice of any defect or nonconformance to the contractor within 120 days from the acceptance by the government.
The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to the offeror whose quote is determined to provide the greatest overall value to the government, considering price, technical acceptability, and past performance. Award will be made to the offeror providing the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA).
To be rated acceptable, the offeror must provide a cover letter or email with confirmation of an approved quality management system (QMS) per NAVSEA Standard Item ****, confirmation of DBIDS registration authorization, CAGE code and UEI, identification of one lead individual who will coordinate all aspects of performance, a written statement confirming ability to meet the required delivery date, and a written statement confirming capability and resources to perform the work described in the SOW.
A ship check is scheduled for April 15, 2026, at **** AM on the USS CHUNG HOON DDG93, Pier 10, Naval Base San Diego. Please note that the government will not pay for any extra effort expended for the ship inspection.
