Sealed bids are requested for a government grazing lease of approximately 625 acres at Whitney Lake, Texas. The lease term is 5 years with a 5-year option. Bids must be submitted by July 24, 2026, 10:00 AM. A $200 bid deposit is required. The lease is for grazing purposes only, with rent paid 100% in the form of work abatement. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled for June 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Inspections can also be arranged by contacting the Lake Manager.
Bids must be received no later than 10:00 a. m. local time on Friday, July 24, 2026.
The lease requires one hundred percent (100%) of rent to be in the form of work abatement, as designated by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The property will be leased on an as is basis, subject to the provisions and conditions of the NOA and the proposed lease. There is no warranty of any character other than that expressly stated.
A lease will be awarded to the highest bidder complying with the conditions of this NOA, provided the bidder is responsive, the bid is reasonable, and it is in the interest of the United States to accept it.
The bid form must contain the bidder's Social Security Number. Failure to provide the number will be cause for rejection of the bid.
A bidder will be considered to have defaulted if they fail to enter into a formal lease within ten (10) days after notification of bid acceptance, and the deposit will be retained to defray expenses.
Attendance is recommended at a pre-bid site visit to be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10:00 am, at the Whitney Lake Office.
Failure to provide the bidder's Social Security Number will be cause for rejection of the bid.
