The construction plans, specifications, and contract documents for the SH 138 24
water transmission main project in Georgetown, Texas have been modified. The substantial completion date has been changed to 9/12/2026 and the final completion date to 11/22/2026. Liquidated damages for substantial completion have been revised. The bid form has been updated to include a 62-day expedited schedule. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the bid form and outer envelope. The bid will remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the bid opening. The project involves a 24-diameter ductile iron and PVC
water transmission pipeline and connections to existing
water lines. The work includes site preparation, installation of pipeline, appurtenances, valves, fire hydrants, trenchless installations, steel encasement, fence and gate removal and replacement, pavement restoration, site clearing and restoration, and miscellaneous items. The project has been designed by Cobb, Fendley Associates, Inc. The contract times are of the essence. The work will be substantially completed within 307 calendar days from notice to proceed on September 1, 2026, and completed and ready for final payment within 369 calendar days from notice to proceed on November 2, 2026. Liquidated damages are specified for delays. The owner will pay contractor for 62-day early substantial completion for owner's early beneficial use and operation of the entire pipeline system. The estimated quantities are not guaranteed, and final payment will be based on actual quantities. Required bid security is attached. The terms used in this bid have specific meanings. The contract documents consist of various sections, including this agreement, performance bond, payment bond, bid bonds, certificate of insurance, general conditions, supplementary conditions, specifications, drawings, addenda, and exhibits. The contract documents may only be amended, modified, or supplemented as provided in paragraph 3. 04 of the general conditions.
