The Steuben County Purchasing Department is seeking competitive sealed bids for countertop replacement in the jail booking department. Bid documents are available at the purchasing department and on the county website. Non-mandatory site visits are available on specific dates in October and November 2025. Bids must be submitted on Steuben County bid forms in a sealed envelope by November 20, 2025. The award will be made to the lowest responsible contractor. The contractor must comply with all applicable standards, codes, laws, rules, and regulations. The contractor must submit a signed and dated noncollusive bidding certificate and a hold harmless clause form with its bid. The county is exempt from payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the state of new york and of cities and counties within the state of new york. Questions must be received by November 13, 2025.
The bid opening date is Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 1:30 p. m. local time.
Invoices shall be predicated upon quantities ordered, delivered and accepted.
Awards shall only be made to bids submitted by qualified, responsive, and responsible contractors who sufficiently meet the terms, conditions, and specifications stated herein.
Each contractor is required to include the following information with its bid submittal: general history, manufacturers authorization, references, and equipment.
The contractors failure to perform in compliance with the bid award shall result in a withholding of payment.
Nonmandatory preproposal site visits are available from 10:00am 2:00pm on October 20, 27, November 3 and November 10, 2025.
Provide samples and colors of the countertop material.
