This is a public tender notice from the City of Redding, California, for the supply of fiberglass crossarms. The materials to be furnished under this proposal will be delivered at such time and in such quantities as called for by the City of Redding. The contract period shall be from award of bid through June 30, 2027. If mutually agreeable, with all terms and conditions remaining the same, and price changes in direct proportion to the change in PPI, this contract may be extended with four annual extensions through June 30, 2031.
Payment terms are net 30 unless otherwise agreed to by both parties. Cash discounts offered for payment in less than twenty calendar days will not be considered as a basis of award. All cash discounts shall be taken and computed from the date of delivery or completion and acceptance of the material and service, or from the date of invoice, whichever is latest.
The bidder warrants that all materials furnished shall be free from defects in design, materials, and workmanship, and shall perform under all conditions of service specified or reasonably implied. The bidder shall, upon written notice from the City, promptly repair or replace at no charge any materials that prove defective within the manufacturer's published warranty period for each product, or two years from the date of delivery, whichever is longer, under normal and proper use.
The award of this contract, if made, will be based on availability of budgeted funds and will be made to the responsible bidder with the lowest responsive price. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities as may be in the City's best interest.
Only manufacturers or contractors of established reputations, or their duly authorized dealers or agents, having proper facilities for the manufacture of the materials or equipment and for servicing same, or for proper execution of the work called for in the specifications, will be considered in making the award. The bidder shall furnish proof that he has in operation material similar in size and operating characteristics to the material he proposes to furnish herein. Additionally, only manufacturers with a minimum of five 5 years of demonstrated experience manufacturing products of the type and size specified will be considered.
In the event the bidder is awarded the contract and fails to deliver the materials within the quoted lead time, or any extended lead time agreed upon in writing, liquidated damages shall be assessed at the rate of **** per calendar day for each calendar day the complete order is received late. The total amount of liquidated damages shall not exceed ten percent (10%) of the net cost of the order.

Bidder's product does not meet minimum structural, dimensional, and materials requirements of the technical specifications. Bidder cannot demonstrate at least five 5 years of manufacturing experience in the product category bid. Bidder does not complete PIS form. Include a copy of bidder's W9.
