The City of Princeton is seeking proposals for employee benefits broker services. Services include managing group medical, dental, disability, life, vision, HRA, and HSA plans for active employees and retirees. Proposals are due by July 9, 2026, and must be submitted online. Key priorities include member access, operational efficiency, wellness, compliance, and transparent reporting. The selected broker will serve as a strategic advisor and market representative.
Responses must be received no later than 5:00 PM Central Time, July 9, 2026.
In accordance with the Texas Prompt Payment Act, the City shall have not less than 30 days to pay for goods or services, computed from the later of the date City receives conforming goods, the date performance of the service is completed, or the date City receives a correct and valid invoice.
The proposal should describe the policy on warranties and guarantees of service satisfaction.
Proposals will be evaluated on a best-value basis with criteria including benefit network fit, proposed staff resources, total cost and transparency, public sector experience, and local vendor preference.
Respondents shall be currently licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance and have staff with at least five continuous years of experience representing municipalities with similar insurance needs.
The proposal should describe any penalties or liquidated damages related to service failures.
The City is interested in sample reports for open enrollment metrics, financial and utilization reports, and annual stewardship reports.
Questions can be submitted using the online portal Bidnet Direct no later than 5:00 PM CT, on July 1, 2026.
Violation of communication restrictions, failure to comply with proposal format, or submitting false certifications may lead to disqualification.
