Proposals must be received by 5 PM on July 31, 2026. deadline for receipt of proposals july 31, 2026 5 p. m.

Proposers must have and maintain all required federal, state, and local licenses. successful proposer must have and maintain at all times during the existence of any contract any and all required federal, state, andor local licenses as considered necessary with respect to the services covered by the proposal.

The center may terminate the contract within 30 days with written notice if the proposer does not meet contract requirements. should the proposer not meet the requirements of the contract, the center may terminate the contract within thirty 30 days with written notice.

Sealed proposals shall be received at the City of Saline, Clerk's Office, 100 N. Harris St. Saline, MI **** by July 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

The successful contractor shall be paid monthly for janitorial services. The city may take up to 30 days to make payment from the date it receives an invoice.

The city reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities or informalities or both, to award a contract to other than the lowest bidder and in general to make the award in a manner deemed by the city, at its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the City of Saline.

Proposals shall also include a narrative statement of the qualifications and experience of the proposed contractor along with any certifications and/or special licenses that may be held that would apply to the performance of this proposal.

All prospective contractors must inspect the premises of all three facilities: Saline City Hall, Rec Center and Department of Public Works.

The city or contractor may terminate the contract with a 90-day written notice for services if the contractor fails to execute the services described herein in a satisfactory manner after being given notice and failing to make required corrections.

An award shall be made to the responsible vendor whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the district, with benefits and other factors considered. Must have knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment, proper methods used in cleaning work, basic hand tools and equipment used in routine building maintenance and grounds keeping work, and safe work practices. Must have the ability to clean and care for an assigned area and equipment, follow oral and written instructions, read and write at a level required for successful job performance, recognize and locate conditions which require maintenance and repair, use and care for tools used in work assignments. Must have the ability to work reliably on own initiative without close supervision ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods stoop, kneel and crouch to pick up or move objects, office equipment and furniture physical ability to lift and carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds without assistance physical ability to lift and move heavier objects with assistance normal manual dexterity and handeye coordination corrected vision and hearing to normal range good verbal communication skills abilities to use vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, shampooers, buffers, waxing equipment, grounds keeping equipment and basic hand tools. Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and to perform duties with industry, reliability, integrity and initiative. Must adhere to confidentiality and health insurance portability and accountability act hipaa policies. Must submit and successfully pass a criminal background check if required. Must successfully pass a preemployment drug screening test. Must provide documentation of immunity to measles, and rubella, or become vaccinated with the recommended vaccines and hepatitis b vaccine. Must test for tuberculosis tb at time of hire and per cdc guidelines as required. Must have an annual health exam and a flu or exemption as required. Must be a selfstarter, well organized, and willing to learn new skills. Must possess valid drivers license, good driving record, and be insurable by the tribes insurance carrier.
